********* **THIS POSITION IS AN IMMEDIATE HIRE** *********
**Purpose:**
This task order will provide SWEG the ability to train Special Forces, Civil Affairs and Military Information Support soldiers in support of Special Forces Regimental operational requirements. Contracted personnel shall provide Educational support to adult learner Special Operations student soldiers attending the United States Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School.
**Responsibilities:**
* Develop and provide instruction in adaptive thinking education and training to enhance ARSOF Soldiers ability to: think and solve problems in unconventional ways; maintain composure while responding to or adjusting one's own thinking and actions to fit a changing environment; recognize, understand, and navigate within multiple social networks; and proactively shape the environment or circumstances in anticipation of desired outcomes.
* Develop and provide education and training in negotiation and mediation techniques to include aspects of negotiations in a joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and multinational environment.
* Develop, advise, instruct, implement, and provide consultation to outside organizations, as well as to conduct internal research and practice regarding best practices of Adaptive Thinking and Leadership subject matter, as well as future instruction initiatives, perform statistical analysis and produce oral and/or written reports
* Conduct job analysis to work with system design, development, implementation or redesign.
* Duties required in a field environment under adverse conditions (hours of darkness, weather, etc...) with flexible hours.
* Assist with or provides overview briefings to VIPs and high-ranking leaders when required.
* Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office software to include PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
* Excellent oral and written communications skills; able to communicate effectively.
* Work will periodically require operating temporarily in a field environment observing ARSOF Soldiers; may be exposed to a variety of weather conditions and extreme temperatures ranging from the upper 120s degrees Fahrenheit in the daytime to the lower 20s degrees Fahrenheit at night.
* Ability to work well within a team environment; must possess effective interpersonal skills.
* May be required to conduct movement by land, sea or air via Military/Commercial fixed or rotary wing aircraft, waterborne craft, or ground transport in support of unit training in assigned core supporting tasks.
**Education and Certifications:**
* PhD degree (or equivalent) in psychology, or a related field, from a graduate school that is regionally accredited (ABD is acceptable, but degree requirements must be completed within 2 years of graduation).
* Certified by one of the following: the American Psychological Association (APA), or Association for Psychological Science (APS), or Association for Applied Sports Psychology (AASP).
**Knowledge and Experience:**
* Must have at least one (1) years' experience as an instructor or graduate assistant in an academic setting (military or civilian) with groups of up to 100 individuals.
* Must physically be able to walk on patrols over uneven, rocky, sandy, and/or wooded terrain crossing water obstacles up to waist high; in all weather conditions; during night, day, and low visibility periods; in areas where normal office equipment, restroom, and wash facilities are not available.
* Must be physically capable of carrying a small pack of up to 15 pounds during field environment while observing cadre and Soldiers.
* Must be willing and able to be transported in government provided field ground vehicles and/or military aviation.
* In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
