SUMMARY/POSITION OVERVIEWThis position manages The CrossRidge Café. The Café Supervisor will develop the CrossRidge Café to be an important part of the local community. This person will help CrossRidge Café employees make connections with the customers they see daily and lead the Café operations, inventory management, staffing, customer satisfaction, product quality, financial performance and team development. The Café Supervisor will help the Café team create a welcoming environment for our customers and the community.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS* Reports to and receives assignments from the Director of Facilities.* Responsible for supervising all café staff.

Required Experience:


PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Ensure exceptional in-store experiences for customers through store presentation, merchandise management and marketing strategies * Identify new methods to drive sales and to achieve financial goals * Attract, select, and retain top talent for the café * Learn and instill the culture, organization, operations, processes and policies at associate level * Develop associates, implement training initiatives, provide continuous coaching, and succession planning* Manage sales, payroll and scheduling plans* Oversee all product/inventory ordering, shipping, and receiving* Provide supervisory level input supporting the Director of Facilities in the development of both the annual Revenue and Expense budgets * Provide knowledge and training of customer service techniques * Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends as dictated by the needs of the business* Ensure calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events and manage smooth transitions thereafter to keep retail operation up to standard * Display a "Customer-comes-first" attitude by training and holding employees accountable for delivering legendary customer service* Manage with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Inspiration Ministries* Plan, identify, communicate, and delegate appropriate responsibilities to Cafe team to ensure smooth flow of operations * Constantly review store environment and key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement to provide coaching and direction to the Cafe team so operational goals are achieve* Develop strategic and operational plans for managing, executing, and measuring results* Maintain coffee and espresso equipment as needed* Engage in professional development opportunities, especially those that pertain to the coffee industry* Ensure the highest quality food and beverages are served at all times* Obtain and maintain a Managerial level ServSafe Certification and enforce all DHEC appropriate operations

JOB REQUIREMENTS* Must have a proven performance track record of excellence in the area of business administration, organizational oversight, effective workflow planning, process management practices including successful recruiting & staffing and supervisory experience. * Demonstrate the ability to manage a staff that will be multi-tasking on several projects and ensure focus necessary for quality control including satisfactory, timely completion of projects.* Exhibit the ability to communicate with people of multi-cultural and theological backgrounds and work with minimum direct supervision. * Must be a team player and exhibit the ability to work in a team environment that crosses internal and external organizational boundaries as well as multi-cultural and varied theological backgrounds. * Have a background in retail sales and marketing.* Knowledge and experience in specialty coffee preparation* Ability to manage store operations independently * Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment * Strong problem-solving skills * Team-building skills * Good interpersonal skills * Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

EDUCATIONPrefer a college graduate with a concentration in business administration and direct response marketing. Equivalent training and demonstrated, successful work experience track record will be considered.

COMPUTER SKILLS* Required: Demonstrated high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (creation of spreadsheets for reporting), to possess the ability to function well in the internet and social media environment and be able to access and update records in a database. * Preferred: Ability to use Power Point for presentations, and flow charting software like Visio, resource allocation and project management. * Have a background in POS system(s) and accounting systems.
